With military level fitness, and a passion for cycling which saw him claim gold at the Invictus Games 2023, as well as a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, David has a lot to offer when it comes to sharing experiences of health, wellbeing and sport.

Applying determination, diligence, goal setting and commitment, David has achieved gold on the international sporting stage.

In 2020, he cycled 100km per day every day in June as a fundraiser, followed by a complete lap of the North East 250 driving route (250 miles) in 17 hours, and 60km per day for the entire second period of lockdown.

David was then selected to represent Team UK at the Invictus Games 2023, where he achieved a gold medal after a committed, diligent and driven training programme during which he faced the additional challenge of a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.

By sharing his experiences, insights and learnings, David can offer practical advice and knowledge to fellow sports teams and individuals competing at all levels in the sporting arena.
